If you are based in South West England, RISE is able to offer you access to its bursary, to enable social enterprise advisors to undergo the SFEDI assessment process at a 50% discount by becoming a RISE Additions member – see www.rise-sw.co.uk/bursary for more information. The new South West regional business support service for social enterprises, known as Social Enterprise Link will require social enterprise advisors to be fully SFEDI accredited or equivalent, to ensure high quality advice is given to social enterprises. The regional service is now in operation and being tested against its development phase. The service will be significantly funded by the South West RDA and social enterprise advisors will be in an excellent position to deliver packages when the process has been finalised; advisors will be expected to be properly qualified by being accredited by SFEDI or its equivalent.
