Ladder4learning is a Learning Curve project providing a helpline and website for training and development needs and offer impartial, practical advice and information tailored specifically for the Voluntary and Community Sector. The website and telephone advice service were launched at the beginning of June. There are approximately 670 providers advertising 685 courses on the website which is currently receiving 150 visits per week. As well as a database of forthcoming courses the website contains a range of useful information, factsheets and discussions relevant to workforce development.
Ladder4learning are happy to come along to any events (AGMs, community lunches, etc) to offer demonstrations of the website or workshops on various aspects of workforce development. Contact them at ladder4learning@learningcurve.org.uk
Ladder4learning are promoting the use of Training Needs Analyses and encouraging frontline organisations to use appropriate tools to identify and plan their workforce development. They have a small amount of funding to support local events and promotions (in the South West Region) and would like to work in partnership with support organisations.
