Women Entrepreneurs in Gloucs Conference 12 Nov 2008
Third Annual Conference for Women Entrepreneurs in Gloucestershire on Wednesday 12th November 9.00 - 3.30pm at Cheltenham Racecourse, Prestbury Park, Cheltenham, Gloucs GL50 4SH
£25 plus VAT
The Enterprising Women Make A Difference Conference is organised by a group of women’s enterprise professionals from across Gloucestershire and includes local flourishing businesswomen, local and national business speakers, and a selection of the best trainers and facilitators the county has to offer.
The event will showcase a selection of acclaimed speakers, training workshops, plenary sessions, masses of networking opportunities and much much more. It is aimed at all local women, those already running businesses and those considering self employment and who need support and guidance.
This conference follows on from the hugely successful 2007 event held last year at Hatherley Manor Hotel, which attracted over 150 local businesswomen and included female business speakers, plus dynamic trainers and facilitators.
The rate of female self-employment has more than doubled over the last 20 years and this probably underestimates women's contribution to enterprise in family businesses and co-ownership. 45% of women starting a business have been previously economically inactive. Yet they face innumerable barriers to work such as caring roles and the need to juggle wider responsibilities, lack of access to finance and tailored business support. Forest of Dean Women's Business Association, Stroud Women’s Business Network and Business Women Tewkesbury and is hosted by Gloucestershire Enterprise Business Services.
